First Great Summer Day!

Welp, it was bound to happen. The law of averages say I had to have AT LEAST one really great day this summer; and friday was definitely one of them! Earlier in the week, my coworker, H emailed us about heading out to the Acquarium after work. I hadnt been there in yeeears, so this sparked my curiosity. We left around 2pm (Summer hours, ya know...) and headed out towards Coney Island. I think we got there a little bit after 3, which was perfect, since after 3pm you can pretty much pay whatever you want for a ticket...It was funny, because the minute we got there, my coworker, J, n I starting peeping a bunch of females...I took it a step further and started taking a few pics of people who were PERFECT candidates for my "Damn That's Nasty" collection (part2 coming soon..just thought Id let you know...lol). In any case, it was a fun trip. I took a lot of great shots of what we saw....Check out a few!

At this point, we started heading out...we also noticed it started getting really cloudy and it started to drizzle some...Buuut we were also hungry. So, thats when my coworker, J, suggested we check out one of the best pizza places in NY, called Grimaldi's Pizza. On our way out, I couldnt help but take more shots of random, interesting stuff..lol

If it hadnt started to rain, we probably would've gotten on this....ah well...maybe next time!

Sooooo, while we were on our way to Grimaldi's, it started POURING...It was insane...I was glad that I had taken my umbrella in my bookbag, cause DAMN...the wind was blowing the water right into our faces...but we considered this a lil bit of lucky, since that woud mean that there wouldnt be that many people waiting on line to get into the pizza place....(I say this, because this place is REALLY f'in popular...there was some lady who visits different restaurants and critiques them. She gave them a great revue, and there are people who visit from all over the country just to go to this friggin place...just 2minutes after getting there, I already knew some people who were standing there, werent from NY..) But, we were wrong! lol, there were already a few people standing outside the door waiting, in this POURING RAIN! Fortunately for us, they let us go ahead of them since they were waiting for someone....They took our order and we just sat there relaxing (even though there was some super gay ass music playing lol) and waiting for our pizza to arrive...which seemed like an eternity, since we were so hungry. It did come faster than I expected, though. And it was GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

There's really nothing bad I can say about the food. It was just friggin great....even this thing called "Antipasto"...some toasted bread, with salami, and mozzarella and roasted peppers, i think it was. Friggin GREAT! It was funny how at the end of it, H immediatedly snatched up the check and started "calculating" what everyone had to pay on her phone. J and I have this "theory" that maybe...juuust maybe...she wanted to make us pay more than her. But I have yet to prove it! (i kid i kid...) The one thing, that irked us all, was when it came time to pay for the food and leave, this grumpy old guy came up to our table and was really hovering over us, trying to rush out of there. I understand that there were a lot of people waiting, and they needed to free up the tables, but there's no reason for dude to be THAT pushy, and that rude with us. O_o When we stepped outside, it was STILL friggin pouring...and there was a HUGE line going back, up until the corner....Talk about popular....lol


I thought that we'd be calling it a day at this point...buuuUUuut H started talking about watching a movie or something...so thats when our other coworker E (just so yall know, there were 4 of us total lol), decided to invite us to her crib. First, we made a stop at Whole Foods, where they stocked up on strawberries...cherries....chocolate brownies...and wine (ooh-la-la, right?). We all got ourselve's pretty comfortable and started watching this french film called "Amelie". I think it came out in 2001. At first, I kind of looked at it like O_o....but after a few minutes, I really got into it..and it turned out to be a pretty good movie.

When the movie ended and we were all getting ready to leave, J and I noticed that our coworker's neighbor (some blankita) was standing by her window in her undies.....lol much to the dislike of our dear coworker, who so graciously invited her to her home (something i dont think she's eeEeEever done with anyone in this place)...I couldnt help, but take a picture of that chick's heiny...lol Sorry.

I must say though....that seemed like the "perfect end to a perfect day". lol

I think I have a bad habit of losing my patience with certain people when they come to me, complaining about how "crappy" their life is...or how frustrated they feel with the way things are...or even just how tired they are of "everything"...I wonder if maybe its that I'm just ignorant to the way that they feel...(even though I really do pride myself on my understanding of just about everyone....which is probably why they come to me in the first place)...and am a lil too quick to judge them and their particular situation....Maybe I'm too quick to think of people as "just another statistic"...O_o...I think I'm letting my overall bad attitude get in the way of, my truly connecting and ACTUALLY helping people now.... At the same time....maybe I'm just a hypocrite....I've been noticing that a lot of the complaints that I've heard from people...are the exact same thoughts that I've had...and yet I lose my patience almost immediately and offer no real words of wisdom....or at LEAST some of sympathy....I dont bother to say, "hey, i feel exactly the same sometimes...I know how you feel". Nada. Its sad really.....perhaps, because I somehow find the resolve to push these thoughts and feelings deep deep dwon, I expect others to do the same and when I see that their incapable of doing such, I dub them as "weak"....which isnt true....cause in a way, it does take some measure of strength to open up, even if just a little bit, to someone else and let them know what it is you're feeling....and thats something I dont do.

My Life As a Hermit....

Yep. Yours truly, became a recluse for a while. SURPRISE SURPRISE! haha...About two weeks ago, my bro & his fiance (now wifey) were giving a lil vacation from the military...They are both stationed in Kuwait right now until the near end of the year...and bro hit me up aboud my mom n i going away with them to D.R. for a week...which is great...but the timing was HORRIBLE...The reason being, that two of my coworkers had already scheduled time off during that week to go off to london....which meant that i would have to stick around and help out with whatever stuff needed to be done..since aside from dude, im kind of the only one who knows which reports go where n how n yadda yadda yadda....Soooo my mom took off....and i was left swamped with work. lol You'd think that id take this opportunity to try to contact every hoochie n skeeze I could find and kidnap em like "Lets play 'House' for a week" but naaaaaaaaaah....I've been so moody/stressed lately that I pretty much took this chance to be totally on my own....i bare spoke to anyone when i didnt have to.....just went to work...did my hours...came home and drift....

I was on my way to work this morning and I overheard some guy's conversation with some chick, I guess, he was trying to impress with his opinions. But no no no...dude just HAD to go and bring up race...saying how it was "acceptable" for Eminem to say that but if he had been black or hispanic, "we" would've never tolerated that sort of thing in "our" community...no matter how fucked up our mom is. lol He even went so far as to bring up Tupac, talking about how his mom was a crackhead and all that, yet he STILL came out with the song "Dear Momma". I kinda got a lil tight though. I mean suuure "we" don't make tracks about killing our moms, but what about all the other fucked up ignorant ass shit "we" come out with? For years, "we" have been coming out with a bunch of songs (in both R & B and Hip Hop) that perpetuate the ignorance of our time...ranging from pre-marital sex, affairs with married men/women, cheating, stealing, drug dealing, drug using, objectifying women (had to throw that in there for all you bra burners lol), and violence. Hell, in NY, one of "our" most glorified rappers got famous off of talking about shooting dudes in the head (execution style), robbing pregnant women, and fucking underaged virgins. lol sooooooooo....yeah....Don't go out of your way to criticize any one person for the shit they say....Eminem (along with all these other people) didnt get famous off of what they said..its HOW they said it...They made that shit sound hot. SO...just shut the fuck up and ENJOY IT!

Middle Aged Females....

Here awake on yet another night of insomnia, I'm watching infomercials lol sad isnt it? Anyway...they're offering one (out of MILLIONS) dvd called "Core Rhythms"...its basically a dance/workout video promising middle aged overweight women that by doing this they'll get the figure they've always wanted...I'm laughing at how foolish some of em look doing this routine. A random thought hit me though....I think its funny (and kind of sad) how there are so many aging females in america that are silly enough to invest into these videos hoping that this will somehow renew the dying spark in their marriage....as opposed to doing the PRACTICAL thing and getting some fucking marriage counseling. hahaha
